Pacific Coast Terminals Co. Ltd. (PCT) wishes to advise our neighbors that we will be completing Berth 1 foreshore remediation works from Oct 28, 2024 – Feb 28, 2025.
This is part of our continued response and remediation to improve the shoreline along this site.
Construction will start the week of Oct 28th and will continue until late-February. Work will involve laying and placing new rip rap along the shoreline at and east of Berth 1. Work will also include excavation along the Berth 1 dock and forming a new concrete retaining wall below grade. Unfortunately, this project needs to occur at low tide to ensure all construction work takes place above the waterline; therefore, construction may start before 7:00am or extend past 8:00pm. We understand the inconvenience to residents as this may result in having noise from our terminal, and we will work to ensure that community disturbance is minimized wherever possible, and we apologize in advance.
