Established in 1929, Pacific Coast Terminals (PCT) began operating in New Westminster, British Columbia, at the current Westminster Quay Public Market site. Initially, we handled general cargo, including steel, wood, and refrigerated goods. In 1960, we expanded to Port Moody, where we shifted our focus to handling woodchips, sulphur, potash, coal, and concentrates.
The 1980s marked a significant transformation when Sultran Ltd. acquired the terminal, enhancing our capabilities and establishing us as a major sulphur export terminal and one of the largest bulk liquid terminals at Port Metro Vancouver.
For over 55 years in Port Moody, PCT has been a vital community partner, actively supporting local arts, culture, and environmental initiatives. As a major industrial employer and taxpayer, we have become an integral part of the city.
