Pacific Coast Terminals Co. Ltd. (PCT) wishes to advise our community and neighbours that we will performing a cleaning of our water storage tanks on site as part of the ongoing maintenance of our waste water system. This is part of our continued response and remediation of the odours that were found to be emitting from our site back in August.
Cleaning will commence the week of October 19th, and will continue for approximately 3 weeks. Work will involve opening the water storage tanks and pumping out the solids. A scrubber system will be on-site to remove the odours as we work through the process. We are using consultants and local experts in tank cleaning, and the work will only be done during regular workday hours. We have also been waiting for cooler weather in order to minimize any potential odours that could be present during the process.
PCT will do everything possible to perform the work as quickly as we can, with a conscious effort to minimize any disruption to the community.
