Dear Valued Community Members:
To date, PCT remains open for business but we have taken extra precautions to ensure the safety and well being of our staff and visitors. Many employees have transitioned to working from home, and access to the terminal has been restricted to essential personnel only.
We are following all regulatory guidelines and are in close contact with the BCMEA, The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, Transport Canada, and other Marine Terminals to ensure that all vessels coming into port are safe. Extra measures are being taken to ensure people boarding and leaving the vessels are following all required protocol, and that no one is dispatched to work if they are sick.
As the situation continues to evolve, we suspect that some aspects of our operations may change. We have established a Pandemic Preparation and Response Team to ensure people continue to stay safe.
Unfortunately, some of our favorite community events and fundraisers may be cancelled or postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We will continue to support the community as best we can during the weeks to come, and we encourage everyone to do the same.
